I have install the patch and i use a similar tactic to one that i used on 07. Its a rather defensive approach to the game. All defenders stay back, the midfield is set as defensive including the wingers who are set to rarely run with the ball or rarely go forward. Strikers are set to attacking. All payers are set to close players down. Zonal marking. This tactic was very effective on 07 very few goals conceded 0.6 ave and very few goals scored 1.5 ave. short passing all round. possession 50/60% and pass percentage 70-75% are always high and still are.
However in 08 my midfield will not close down they will not put a tackle in. The defence does exactly the same they just stand off their man and let him run. I know the pacth has worked as my players are constantly tackled and closed down.

I am playing with Newcastle. The players abilities are not in question.

Any advice please.
