There's nothing special about the tactic. push the DMC's and MC up one notch and you have the old "ajax" tactic. In fact the ajax tactic is providing me lots of joy with my Milan youth team.- 10 wins in 10 matches, natch.
But I wouldn't try it with my senior team because the 20-25 shots it gives you will only turn into a couple of goals in serieA, and the AI is perfectly capable of matching that with some bullcrap defensive tactic...
Don't think it's the answer, therefore.

It's done me alright, but I did have Michael Owen up front for Newcastle, Andrew Keogh at Crewe and Fryatt at West Ham and all of them bagged 40+ goals in at least one season.
I'll try and get a download put together

The formation reminds me the most of that of real life Barcelona. I use it all the time, so we're neither a tactical genius, Frank Rijkaard is.
The instructions are those that go with the well-known 4-1-2-1-2 with the diamond in midfield. It was practically a cheat formation in 06 and continues to work well.

i thought this formation was common? i've been using a similar line up since CM03/04 coz liverpool had too many good DMs and i wanted to use them all evenly, plus only really had Owen and maybe Le Tallec for decent strikers. Has worked a charm on every FM since. It blows the a-league apart, and i'm current running quite well in 08 with liverpool. also, i find that it can convert easily to a narrow attack if you find yourself down a man early (in my last game finnan got sent off after 7 minutes at schalke and i still managed to pull of a 4-1 win!)

Yeah I was thinking today that Liverpool would be great to play it with, Owen in the middle with Alonso and Sissoko sitting behind. A force to be reckoned with.

I should also add that if you have FB with good passing ability than set their passing to direct and through balls to often, at the hammers Konchesky got about 15 assists.
