Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Dreading home matches

My mediocre side is thriving on the road in the Premiership, with the 2nd best road record and goal differential. But at homee we are a .500 team at best. Teams play basically the same way I do on the road, counterattcking, but even more defensive, with a lot of the 'pass the ball between the defenders' crap.

The result is that if I press forward to regain possession I give up breakaways on the counter. If I play slow possession style with a conservative defensive line, then the clock just whips on by and I'm pretty much guarenteed a draw.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Remember, I have at best average players, so I can't count on having stars at every position to make some super tactic work.
