I'm a manager player since they fit in a floppy disc and i always had some sucess and some fun with it, i always play with (Sporting CP) rarely play with top teams bc i find it too easy. I always had alot of sucess in domestic competitions losing only 1 game in and winning the championship easily, never had much success in Europe my best was probably Champion's Cup semi finals some times and i won Uefa Cup 1 or 2 times (in all the games i made in the FM series, i dont play that much i make like 3\4 seasons before i get bored) so this was to make some history and tell you guys that i know my way arround i ALWAYS do my tactics and i ALWAYS do my training.
In FM2007 i was having some trouble with my tactics my Strikers didnt score goalkeeppers ALOT of MoM so i came to this forums to browse and i found and read an article about the RULE of 5 and the RULE of 2 with the sliders i used the guidelines in the threads making some tactics and my team played nicely still some MoM from the GK but ok.
When FM2008 was released i came to this forums and i read about the RULE of 1 and that rule of 2\5 weren't doing that great on this games following the guidelines i make a 4-1-3-1 (like the standard template) with my defense starting at 10 and going up 1 per position with Short\Slow\Narrow - With attacking Mentality in the team instructions.
So i start 8.0.1 in 1st season i manage to win the cup Liedson my striker scored 40+ goals 2nd season i win the championship\cup and my striker scores 51 goals (in all the competitions) 3rd season i make the BIG MISTAKE of selling Kompany and my team stops playing and scoring my almost 100 goals striker doesnt score and gets rating 6 always so it could be a phase like real life gladly Dagoberto scored sometimes, i manage to get to the Uefa Cup final and lose it, so to the point this season Almost ALL The keppers are like INSANE i played a team called Poli 1921 from Romania and their kepper gets MoM and i manage to win 1-0 and second game he gets MoM gladly i win and pass but every kepper is rocking my strikers have nice compusure and they are very good (Falcao \ Liedson \ Di Santo). I know this is almost common to rant about and i ranted and made you read to get to the ???????????QUESTION???????????? a friend that doesnt read this forums makes his tactic and tells me that he in the 1st season with BEnfica wins Champions\Championship\Cup. Then i read a post from rashidi telling he for some time stoped scoring and winning games because i always did the same thing in building his tactics so his tactics failed in the same point always. The question i make is, shall i get and make a tactic using the guidelines of the Rules or shall i make my tactic like i always did before i read this forums, Defenders - Defensive \ Midfield - High Creativity + attacking and strikers all out attack with some creativity and forget all about the rules.
Did i make any sense ?
