It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Thanks for your quick response rekluse, that's what I thought the thinking behind must be. The reason I asked though is that in fact for me the striker on the right is getting the most shots off not the striker on the left. Curious...

Re your Leicester game: well done on beating Villa and City etc!! However, as far as the league is concerned, obviously the players you've brought in (as is perfectly possible to do at every level below the Prem) are good for your league so a better test for the tactic would be to test it with a weak team in the premier league, e.g. Sunderland or Derby.

After promotion I'll be giving it a go. I just wanted to play with Leicester since their new owner, Milan Mandaric aka ex portsmouth owner, used to own the St. Louis Storm and myself being from St. Louis well thats the team I grew up watching during their short lived seasons.

That is strange, some games the forward on the right is on form and bags a hat trick or something for me but yours consistently out shoots your left forward? The way it usually works for me is the left striker gets more shots, and plenty more one on one chances while the striker on the right gets most of his goals on loose balls off the keeper or crosses.

How does the set pieces work for you? I get plenty of set piece goals as well, Feret on my team keeps winning player of the month for having tons of assists, most of them from him taking my corners. The DC on the left is where you want your better one for corners.

Haven't really been taking note of set pieces coz I like to think of them as bonus goals and concentrate on getting the tactic right first but I'll have a look.

Played two competitive games so far:

1st game: right sided SC has 7 shots and left sided SC has 2

2nd game: right sides SC has 10 shots and left sided SC has 6

KUTGW  Dont take any notice of those who say it's bad without any reason - you notice them on all the threads somewhere

Interesting tactic. Am going to give it a whirl with my Granada CF squad in the Spanish BBVA Segunda B and see how it goes. Might tweek for the lower skills some of my players have though, as a lower league variant.

As for some of the prior suggestions regarding choice of team being too high.... EH!?! West Ham and Leicester too high!?! I think that dispite some of the players you've signed, it's not as if you've brought in a full squad of world class players is it. Good results from the West Ham screenshots, which pretty much speak for themselves.

Hey Rekluse would this work for Liverpool? As you have VDV in that team I was wondering if it work for Stevie G? He and Alonso so far for me have been not great as they were in previous FM's.

Gerrard would probably do great in that role with his high finishing/composure. I'm not sure about Crouch or any other of their strikers, Torres would be amazing there and if you don't have any new strikers then Babel would probably be your best bet at the right forward spot with Torres on the left.

Many Liverpool players are rather slow and this tactic might work with those players but I have only played with quick teams, so not sure how the likes of Xabi and Mascherano would do but Sissoko would do well as the DM no doubt. Then new faster wingers would be wanted unless your playing Babel as one.
