playing my second season with man city using the 4321 www tactic, works really great for me. but, a problem has opened up that i can't defend against players like agonblahor, lennon, rocchi, they just outrun all my squad in a spectacular manner, running a 50 m sprint several times during the game! what to do?

Tight mark and don't close down. Also, deep defending.

ok, makes sense, but are you sure about closin down, i mean complete team or just defence?

Take a look at the pace of your back four also.

I've often found through most of the recent FM games, having defenders ALL with acceleration and pace over 15 helps combast fast counters, as inveriably they "keep up" with the faster forwards.

Drop d-line by just a couple of notches, nothing too drastic.
And if your centre back who is marking the quick man is a lot slower, then I definitely wouldn't 'tight marking'. This is because in the manual tight marking is explained as being touch-tight whereas loose means that your defenders can have a little 'give' which is exactly what your slower defender needs.
