I never use those pre-match instruction and never find it useful too.

Do you guys use that thing?

I look at their key player, if he's slow I tight mark
if he's not brave, i tackle hard
if he's creative, i close down

any one else with a bravery of 10 or lower, i hard tackle and make them cry

Kinda got away from this, but that is basically what I used to do as well. The hard tackle is great on the chickens, imo.

I find forcing one footed strikers onto their weak foot is very effective also..

Tackling hard on anyone with 10 bravery or below, also on unfit and inj/recently recovered players (they injure easier).

If they're right footed only I'll put show onto left foot and vice versa.

At half time I check opposition team stats and attempt to mark their best midfielder out of the game and set him to hard tackling.

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.
