Hey guys, I've become increasingly frustrated at conceding vast numbers of goals.
My prefered set up is a fairly standard 4-4-2. I keep possession ok, but as soon as I lose it the opposition seems to be able to cut right through my defence without anything resembling a challenge in sight. I can only imagine I have my back 4's instructions set up wrong.
I put them all on 'hard tackling" in hope that they are more likely to get stuck in and put them to close down in their own area to avoid them drifting too far out of position. They all have a defensive mentality with forward runs on rare.
In theory I would have though that this would all mean that they hold there position, close down when a player moves into their area, make a challenge and not go driving forward(full backs still do this).
I'm at a loss, I concede 2 or 3 goals every game, mostly due to the opposition having all the time in the world to walk the ball into the net. Losing all the time destroys my players confidence, leaving pretty much no way back.
