Board Expectation: Mid-table
Knowing the struggle ahead, I initiated wholesale changes to the squad, resulting in a poor run of form that constantly threatened my tenure at the club. Luckily, though, the squad began to gel during the winter break, and a late surge was only thwarted by the strange playoff system that runs in the Dutch First Division.
Final position: 10th

2019/20 Zwolle - Dutch First Division
Media Prediction: 10th
Board Expectation: Respectable position
The club's final position probably belies the true nature of the season, continuously struggling for a run of form and consistency to secure that lucrative playoff spot. Luckily, our overall performance gave us a playoff spot regardless. Ties against NAC Breda and then Willem II were my reward, and the were both disposed of by the slimmest of margins to secure promotion.
Emmen, for those playing along at home, finished rock bottom of the first division.
I'm not sure which will be the bigger battle next season: staying up in the Premier division or keeping the wolves from sniffing around my first eleven.
Final position: 3rd (Promoted via playoffs)

I've been reading your update thread, Darns, promotion in two seasons is commendable. :thup:
TOP have had a fall from grace in my game - they were in the Premier Division for a few seasons, but were relegated and finished second last in the First Division in the season just past.

Board Expectation: Battle relegation
Well, this season was a great surprise. Never bothered by the threat of relegation, my young squad (average age 22) took a little time to adapt to the rigors of top-flight football, but gave a spirited run of results after the season break, and finished comfortably inside the European playoff spots. Despite being taught a footballing lesson by AZ in the first round of the playoffs, we secured a UEFA Cup spot though the sporting play draw. (And wasn't I happy about that! \o/)
Final position: 8th
