They won't get promoted to the Conference North/South either at any time, unless SI have lifted the restriction that only Isthmian, Northern and Southern Premier sides can get promoted to the playable leagues.

maybe a stupid question,
but how far down do the leagues go in England?
what is below Conference N/S ? at what point is a league no longer an organized league; or rather, at what point are teams composed of a bunch of friends kicking the ball? or is the britt organizational regime still present in such "leagues"...

Blackpool Mechanics sounds like a k-arse name...
I can already see the chanties, slogans and after-match commentaries:
"the pitch was too greasy, the ball too slick for the other team"

"the well-oiled machine from the north"

or even the radio announcers:

"come support your team, wrench in hand"

In short, there are many levels below the Blue Square North/South (old Conference North/South leagues) and they are reasonably competitive too.

I just love it when the promo website refers to their last game as such :
