Obviously a key component of LLM, but it seems the teams in my division are taking it to the extreme.
Finished my first season with Solihull, managed to avoid relegation, strengthened my squad as best I could over the offseason within my limits, and fronted up for my first game against Hucknall. Check their team, and there are six or seven youth players in the first team squad. So I checked their transfer screen, and they'd released most of their first team from 07/08.
I was curious at this point, so I checked 7-8 other teams, and they'd all done the same, with youths galore in the first team and half of the bloody Conference North uncontracted!
Obviously most players are only one single year deals anyway, but it seems a little bit excessive to me.
I sort of think it's realistic particulary at the lower end of the English game.
What you have to remember is that as you pointed out most players are only on 1 year deals so higher than normal staff turnover is to be expected, hardly ever will a signing on fee be involved (IRL) so getting replacements is not an issue(expect for finding the buggers) & with part-time clubs you have to deal with the general movement of players due to factors such as work changes, personality clashes & general carpness of the player either in desire or ability.
I'm fairly sure if you look at the clubs in the lower reaches of the game you'll find similar squad changes reasonably common place.

I understand what you're saying and it's valid, but I've got teams who have made the playoffs releasing their entire first XI, save for one or two. And they're not leaving for other clubs either.
Most here are more experienced LLMers than I, just seems a little bit odd.
High turnover might be realistic, but letting players go and having to replace them with kids because you've not signed any new ones is crazy.
Unless of course your kids are decent players and the older ones are rubbish. Although I'm not sure that would be an overly realistic scenario in itself.
