Season 2028/2029 Halifax - League 1
I didn't really know what to expect this season as our star striker was getting older with the minute (yes, really), and it were his goals which saw us to League 1. We started of quite badly, but we had a couple of good streaks and we went into the play-off zone where we stayed for the rest of the season, untill we dropped out again, and we had to win our last two games to get back in. We did and finished 5th on goal difference. Could this be our third successive promotion?

Pts: 75 Play-offs \o/
The play-off semi final saw us drawn against Hull, another team that was promoted from L2 last season. We dominated the
first leg and were unlucky to
draw 1-1. This was starting to sound all to familiar, but we persisted and went into the
second leg with confidence. After all, Hull was on a winless streak. We scored the 1-0 early, and then Frank's Karma struck as we conceded 4 in the next 70 minutes. Oh well, I had it coming, getting my hopes up on those darn play-offs again...
Hull lost the finals against Millwall
Cups sucked again.
Transfers
Signed 12 players for 1M (that's a whole first team, come to think of it...), sold 3 players for 2.4M and released a lot on frees.

Old Skilled Striker; 27 (one month before turning 34, I think this must have been the greatest player I've ever worked with. Maybe not in terms of absolute ability, but his goalmaking skills on the conference-league level are undisputed. Age finally starts to influence his ability though, so I'm afraid he'll be put in the reserves now.)
One of the few players to remain with Burscough won top scorer and highest avg rating award in the Championship. Burscough lost in the play-off semi finals

an average attendance of 7900 was good, But the board won't improve the stadium (that would probably have to do with me asking the expansion one week after demanding that training and youth facilities be improved, and the board getting mad at me

they agreed to the upgrades though )
Made a 1M profit, despite 'Other' expenditures reaching the 2M mark. It's now our second highest cost, after wages.
This will probably be my last season as I'll get FM08 soon. Too bad I couldn't reach the premiership^once in the 21 years I was managing...
