Season 2025/2026 Burscough - Championship
Stating our promotion expectations last season was a bad move as it turned out. We were sloppy at the back, but couldn't find any consistency up front. After 40 games, only one striker had scored over 6 goals. So draws and losses were our part, often with us having superiour chances and possession. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, I got sacked by the board after 6837 days for some reason. Granted, we had a bad run of form, but we had climbed back up from 18th to 11th, 5 points from a playoff spot and the board wanting a respectable league position. I drew an away game which I should have won according to the run of play and suddenly I was sacked. I cursed some and applied at Everton, who rejected. Halifax was the only choice left, sitting 22nd in league 2. After taking over, it became apparent why they were at the bottom. With no goalkeeper worthy of the name and bad defenders we conceded as if it was the point of the game. We did have the league's top scorer, but even that couldn't help us. I lost 4, drew 4 and won 2, enough to see us relegated. In the mean time Burscough had won 2 and lost 4, dropping to 14th. Great move by the board there.

With 5M in the bank, Halifax don't have to worry about money. A 8700 stadium is ok, facilities are ok too. Now I just need to find as much players as possible.
All in all about my worst season ever. Sacked for the first time in my FM history, relegated with my new club and a tough aquaplane with my old team. Oh, well, I guess the only way is up now
Still pretty ****ed off at the Burscough board though.
