I disagree completely. If the option was to be realistic, then it may as well make the game start at the end of the transfer window. it's just not realistic to go through August being unable to sign players as that IS the transfer period.

Germany has a summer transfer window and a winter transfer window. No special rules other than that.

You're taking over in mid July though, not mid July but with hindsight. Thus anything that has happened after the game start date in real life is rendered irrelevent.

I still don't understand the purpose of having the option in the first place. Why would it be good to fix squads until the second season? It really doesn't make sense...

I'd suggest that if you actually have a transfer budget to use in the first window, then you're obviously playing a team with too high a reputation, or playing in a league with too high a reputation, and therefor not a true LLM, :fume :mad :grrrrrrrr etc.



P.S. I started my new game with this unticked and found it to be quite fun. You can still look for loan signings and frees, but it's nice not seeing "Team X has bought blah player" on the third day of your game, checking the new signing out, and vomiting because your competitors are obviously a far more attractive and lucrative proposition than your lot. That and the fact the AI managers couldn't possibly have scouted him the LLM required minimum of three times, the cheating gits!

Unchecking "Allow transfer budgets in first window" means that all teams will start off with a transfer budget of £0.

It therefore has nothing to to do with LLM, because?????
