are you asking because I am repeating what you originally posted? I guess it took a while for me to get the point... some of us are slow you know... Actually, I just realized you were talking specificically about the cups; I tend to encounter the problem not only in cups but also in regular league matches...

Christ, you do have it bad then Sancho. At least Conference North/South teams have their full(ish) squads.

Remember, I am talking FM06, and a normal DB...
but I realized that Conference Teams tend to have overprized players, hence another reason to move to the continent... |

It can be a problem in some save though most of the Grey's I look at have **** stats so I never think of it as too much of a problem although I know that when you play in Europe some teams like most Eastern European clubs have good greys but that is all down to club reputation isn't it?

I actually haven't given it much thought... I guess club reputation does come into play, since good players (stats-wise) tend to do crappy in the field; although not always...

I beat three all grey sides to reach the first round of the FA Cup in my first 08 season.
The annoying thing was that other Conference National & Regional sides were getting knocked out left, right and centre by them. Seems I was lucky.
Pre season I lost to one and beat two others if I remember correctly.
