Cambridge would have been okay for a 1st LLM game, but good luck with the LLM Legends...

Apologies if I got anyone's back's up it wasn't intended. From reading threads you guys all seem harsh but fair, which is what I like. And moreover, the general level of intelligence and wit seems much higher than the "is ther supa tctic fr FM08?" tripe that is regularly trotted out in the TT&F.

That said I'm Brian (and so is my wife!) I didn't want to get into a bout of mental gymnastics or a semantic debate regarding the above.

Gil: Cheers

mkus Unbounded joy no doubt awaits....

Law-Man:

Starting in the lowest available tier (specially in Poofland) is the most rewarding move career-wise.

Barely escaping relegation on those first seasons. The joy of your first transfer fee spent. The complete ecstasy whenever you fluke a promotion. Those are feelings that will change your FM experience forever.

Cool Have gone with Blythe Spartans btw...for no other reason than I couldn't choose which team to go for and I like the idea of the commentary etc referring to the Spartans!

Oh ok this is a good guessing game.... hmmm...is it another London club you support? Give me a clue at least

A good guideline, if you know where it is geographically or heard of the town, it is not a LL Team... I tend to look for the teams with the smallest stadiums or go to Frank for enlightment...

Always nice to see a fellow Wanderer anywhere, even better on LLM. I can see our numbers decreasing even more as the plastic "Bolton fans" turn to the Manc neighbours as Megson becomes our most disappointing managerial appointment since Roy MacFarland.

My advice with LLM is just pick a country, pick the lowest league in that country, pick a team (any team), and let rip. No shame in being sacked, relegated or not winning for three seasons here. It isn't all about the winning... it's about the journey you take to get there.

Good luck with Blyth, my first LLM08 game was against them and I lost 2-0 with Hucknall Town. Good luck LawMan, up the Whites... well we can't go any further down for a few months can we?
