But I'm just posting to say that now the Beta patch has been released, after reading a few posts here I've re-caught (is that a word) the LLM bug...
As I said previously, I've often come and gone into LLM, with different editions of the FM games, and whenever I read LLM forums, and stories I always get convinced to play it this way again...
So I'm playing as Hampton & Richmond, because I wanted to be based in London, because I lived there for two years. I'm a bit worried about first year relegation..Luckily SI let you play more than one game, after you pay for their game
I still don't think you've caught "The LLM bug", as you put it. If you get Hamp & Rich relegated, then it's not about simply restarting your game, that's not LLM. How many managers can simply hop into a time machine to try again IRL? When you get relegated, you just need to get up, brush yourself off, and find a new team to relegate.
Usually I start one or two new games. FM05 I started one, FM06 I did two or three, 07 just one.
It's way more fun (and realistic) to keep going with your current save. Relegate, find another club, do crap, get sacked, sign at a new club etc etc. There will be a club where you will be staying for several years, improving year by year and eventually you get sacked after 13 loyal seasons

I obviously plan to keep going with this game, and if the worst happens and I'm relegated, then I'd love to hang around and find another job. Would make things feel much more realistic. And add to the whole RL story line feel of the game...

I'm remembering what the LLM-FM buzz is about now It's a pre-season friendly, and I came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3, thanks to a change in tactics Gives you such a thrill to see what you're doing make such a difference...Playing with the big sides you just don't need to think so much...
Oh, should have added...I realise it's just a friendly, but I'm getting thrilled just seeings results like this pre-season..Can't wait for the season to start...I flogged off a few of my teams 'better' players early on too..Asking for huge wages, and I didn't see that they were justified..
Sorry, I won't go on, I know stories aren't encouraged here, esp. so early on in a game.
