Default Setanta Shield

A welcome addition to the English non league game (apart from those in the 'Cups suck ass' camp).

Not incorporated in the game is the fact that the rules state that ten of the sixteen man squad must have been named in the previous league game.

This is something that I will incorporate into my game, as I feel it is realistic to do so.

Is this something that the LLM fraternity will be implementing?

It's not the LLM way, Simmo.

The Shield may have those rules, but if the game doesn't implement them then it's difficult to say a LLaMa has to conform.

The Feeder/Parent thing's okay, we just don't indulge...but the Shield thing's different.

THAT SAID, I'll try my hardest to go along with the rule.

What happens if seven of the previous sixteen man squad are injured and suspended?

Do suspensions count in cupgames when you receive a red card in a league match?

IRL I guess the club would contact the Conference with a view to obtaining dispensation. Or they could name one of the injured players as a sub.

On FM08, dunno.

Ok. I was curious because in Holland the FA makes it simple: when you get a straight red in a cupgame, you're suspended for the league. When you get a red card in the league you can play in a cupgame. Get 2 yellows in a cupgame and you're suspended for the next cupgame. Get 2 yellows in a leaguegame and you can play the next cupgame.

At least, I think it's working this way. 98% Sure.
