First of all. I was rubbish at FM07. I appear to be even worse at FM08.

I'm fed up with my opponents scoring from 90% of their shots on target, my keeper seems to avoid the ball. Yet, all my opponents seem to have goalies with superglue-enhanced gloves.

I'm fed up with the stupid amount of yellow and red cards.

I'm just fed up with it now. I'm starting to think I should just give up.

FM is fantastic, can't get enough of it despite my ineptitude on this years version.

Normally I don't mind the ineptitude. It's the being thrashed game after game that really does it for me.

Even with FM07 I could see where I was going wrong and make subtle changes until things improved. It just seems utterly hopeless this time around, as nothing seems to make any difference whatsoever.

I'm in my first season, and very much on course for relegation.

Lose pretty much every game, apart from one freak 4-1 victory against a team I can't remember the name of.

Funny thing is, as you describe it kevhamster, thats exactly how im finding it (apart from the being fed up bit).

Have you been perfect at FM07 at once or did it take quite a long time as well until things finally started to work like you wanted them to?
