Although I don't frequent the LLM forum often or actively embrace the rules and ethics of LLM, I have a question.

With the release of FM 08 I have decided to venture into the LLM World. In my current save I advertised for a coach and a few weeks later, five names came up on the list. I decided to choose a player/coach in the end.

So my question is would it be deemed realistic to sign a player/coach without scouting him, duly because he is a coach as well?

Your the boss. Use your instinct if you have to. Instinct is allowed. If he turns out to be crap then fine him.

I personally have no problem with that at all. If he turns out to be a decent player, lucky for me, but I hired him as a staff member.

You are signing him for his coaching. The fact he knows how to put a pair of boots on is a bonus. Thats how I look at it anyway.

I'm with avs. He's applied for the coaching job, you haven't gone looking for him as a player. Sign him up if you like the look of him.

Okay thanks guys. As you might of guessed I signed him in the end as a player/coach. Hasn't been playing that bad actually .

I would recommend the mods here take to a similar technique for their duties.

But then I'd be in debt up to my eyeballs, wouldn't I?
