I don't find so big an issue with being a parent/feeder club myself. I don't use it anyway. Luckily none have ever sent me any players, but if they did I wouldn't have used them (can we send them straight back?). I'm more annoyed by the fact most of my competitors are feeder clubs and thus have access to players ten times better than what is normal for the division. This I can't do anything about.
It's easy to implement.
"if parent == ENG AND feeder == ENG -> :luciano: "
...or something like that |

Pangea - Had the same thing with FM07. My carp team was in C2C in Italy, all other clubs had a parent/feeder thing going on. As a result, they all had some really good Serie A/B players in their squads.
I tried to get my board to ask for a parent, they came back with nothing.
I also agree with the coding ting (I am slaving within the programming business myself) and it does look fairly easy* to code.
*I have no idea of how FM is programmed, just to be clear.

Do you guys know if there are other leagues in real life that do not allow LL teams to be feeders (as in England's case)?
| Rangers are the feeder club for that Irish club, i forget their name, think it begins with an L though. Its the team they always play friendlies against.
And there's talk of them doing the same with a Canadian club, the one with the manager who used to play for both Celtic and Rangers

| Which team do you have? I started with castelnuovo (In C1/B), which is the parent for clubs in C1 and B!! crazy stuf... not sure how I am supposed to supply players to a Serie B squad.

But the original question, English situation nothwithstanding, is valid for other countries, I think - what is the LLM modus operandi with regard to loans from the parent club? I guess you can ask your scout, provided you have any, to scout the parent club and use the knowledge to try and loan some of their players, but what if you are offered a player by the parent club? Do you just take him on board (if you were very desperate, I'd be tempted to do that regardless) or is a scout report still a must?

Prof, ask yourself what would realistically happen and you have your answer.
I suppose I could be accused of unrealism, I cancel any feeder arrangement as soon as possible and any players dumped on me rot in the reserves.

| Well, my degree of contact with reality might turn out to be different from the LLamas that do the thread-closing here, which might be problematic when I start my update here, you see.
Realistically (Prof version), I would normally ask a scout for a report card before accepting the loanee, BUT if I manage a crappy team and my parent club is good enough I would take on whomever they dump my way.
Now - is that real enough for you, I wonder? 8)

I usually accept. I mean if the parent-feeder link was set up for loaning players, than let's do it, I'm happily welcoming loanee carp guys
Actually it works the other way round for me - if my parent club has young players on the loan list, I send scouts, then go ahead with an offer.

I let the players come on loan. I mean, as long as the relationship is outside of the nations that say it's illegal, then why not? And with this copy of FM08, I let the players join, as I don't have to pay anything for them, and then check the coach reports. If my coach says they're any good, I'll play them, if not, they can sit in my reserves and act as cover, or just do nothing.
I feel that that fairly realistically translates into real life. A club sends a few players to a different team to play a few games, and then after a few days of training at his new team, the coaches and manager can see just about how good he really is.
