Frank Llama’s on the loose again…. In Nepal. So alone, I chose Iron Maidenhead cos 3 (no less) of my mates used to play for them (under ‘Dev’ as they called him), and it’s only down the big road from me. My career aim is to one day manage Burnley, avoid getting sacked, and take them to glory.
Apart from my fitness coach I got all my staff in using ‘grey’ means. I'm mulling this Job Centre thing over cos its a good point i've seen mentioned. Ive always found it cumbersome before. And i'm lazy if truth be told.
1st Season I asked my man what was what and quickly got rid of every one I could apart from one AML who I wanted to keep. I got some in and had a right old ding dong with relegation…. I finished 17th in the end but only cos I won my last 3 games somehow. It was very very exciting… you had to be there. Some shots off target were really spectacular this season.
2nd Season was better but no real progress… my 3 scouts (under the guidance of Powell) worked well. I got a shed-load in. Plus I was rid of all my inherited played bar the AML. And I got an ex-Burnley player in which I was very happy about. He’s doing well for me. My form is up and down. Very. I finished in 14th despite getting some real thrashings. My board is satisfied cos I told them I would stay up.
3rd Season (to be concluded). I’ve offered my board a mid table position. For what exactly? It’s late November 09 and we are 10th. I’m shouting a lot more now. They deserve it. I have a talented 20 yr old MC who is going well in his 2nd season. Play-offs are a distant aim… but I’ve changed tactics again and I have a lukewarm feeling after 2 recent games that it might be getting better. I haven’t checked the finances in quite some time.
