The simple layout of the Brazilian Third Division. Unfortunately for me the reality is a little less simple.
To give you the short version I've been playing the LLM way for about 2 years and I've always spent a few seasons in Brazil without success. I figured with the new game I'd actually stay here until I had gained promotion.
This may take a while.
Version: 8.0.1
League: Brazil (all)
2007 - ADESG
A miserable season from a woeful performance in the State Championship to a pathetic attempt at life in the Third Division. The only highlight was my first ever foray into the Brazilian Cup courtesy of the team winning the Acre State in 2006.
Acre State - 5th (out of 6 teams)
P:15 W:4 D:3 L:8 GS:14 GC:32 PTS:15
Brazilian Cup
Lost in the First round 5-0 over two legs to Coritiba.
Third Divison - 8th (out of 8 teams) - Relegated
P:14 W:1 D:5 L:8 GS:15 GC:30 PTS:8
2008 - Juventus (SP)
State Championship was woeful once more and we only avoided relegation by 3 points. Third Division though we found great form half-way through and never looked back until we reverted to old ways in the Third Group Stage. I’m undecided whether I prefer this never ending run of group’s to get promoted over the knockout stages that used to be in place.
Sao Paulo State - 16th (out of 20 teams)
P:19 W:4 D:6 L:9 GS:21 GC:36 PTS:18
Third Division - 2nd (out of 8 teams) - Qualified for Second Group Stage
P:14 W:7 D:4 L:3 GS:25 GC:17 PTS:25
Second Group Stage - 1st (out of 4 teams) - Qualified for Third Group Stage
P:6 W:4 D:2 L:0 GS:14 GC:6 PTS:14
Third Group Stage - 4th (out of 4 teams)
P:6 W:2 D:0 L:4 GS:4 GC:8 PTS:6
2009 - Juventus (SP)
Following a 10-0 defeat to Sao Paulo and our financial situation the board seemed to turn on me following last season’s success. I resigned 2 games later but unfortunately I was left to watch as the State’s were decided and the Third Division started and finished.
2010 - Gremio Barueri
The jolly, bearded fat man paid sympathy on me as I found myself finally offered a job on Christmas Day. State Championship was spent trying to avoid relegation, a few wins at the end of the campaign saw me safe. Third Division was more of the same but unfortunately my board demanded we reach the Final Stage at the minimum so the fans and the board weren’t happy with me. A few job applications later and they fired me.
Sao Paulo State - 15th (out of 20 teams)
P:19 W:6 D:4 L:9 GS:25 GC:33 PTS:22
Third Division - 6th (out of 8 teams)
P:14 W:4 D:3 L:7 GS:15 GC:18 PTS:15
2011 - Novo Hamburgo
No long wait this time, receiving my first job offer a few days after my sacking. We started the State Championship miserably due to having to use a grey goalkeeper and it was always going to hinder us. We missed out on advancing to the next stage with defeat in our final game. Third Division campaign was my worst for some time, we couldn’t hold onto leads and it ultimately resulted in our relegation. Next job here I come.
Gaucho State - 5th (out of 8 teams)
P:14 W:5 D:2 L:7 GS:22 GC:38 PTS:17
Third Division - 7th (out of 8 teams) - Relegated
P:14 W:2 D:7 L:5 GS:12 GC:15 PTS:13
