I've recently started a game in Eastern Europe and started unemployed. Fairly quickly I was offered a job by Dnipro Cherkasy (a small team in the Ukraine First League)

I started with all my manager set-up as close to real life as possible with my only nationality and therefore language set to English.

I've now been with Dnipro for nearly 3 months but the only language I speak is English. I would have thought that after 3 months I'd have basic Ukrainian. Is this a bug or am I being too impatient?

Hmm, i think it depends a lot on the difficulty of the language involved.

Slavic languages are quite hard to learn, so i'd wait a bit longer if i were you.

If you still can't talk any Ukrainian (is that an actual language, or do they speak Russian there?) by the end of the season, then that might be worth investigating a bit.

No. In GQ it would be a huge rant about this being a 'show-stopper', SI should be publically hanged for letting such a HUGE bug into the game, they should test more, make the game better, and release the game earlier, with no bugs of any kind. Then some other plurk will ask when the patch is out. Others will follow up about how horrible this incarnation is. Then more BS about bugs and show-stoppers. At some point a mod will see the crap-fest, and the topic will be locked.

GQ would probably be a much better place if it had both speeling Nazis and the Windup Police.

I try to visit the place once in a while. Just a look at thread titles is enough to tear my hair out though. "OMG I'm such a **** lol"

This is a HUGE bug and should be sorted at once!!!

Seriously though, (this may be bordering on tipping) is there an option to choose the languages you can speak when setting up a manager? I speak German and basic Slovak but these are not my nationality, it would be a nice feature.

Yeah, definitely choosing spoken languages would be a nice touch.

Plus it could have an impact on your applications for jobs abroad, making you more eligible for countries whose language you already know.

Nearest to the language choice is a second nationality, which obviously isn't the same thing.

I think it would be a nice touch, as I speak more than just English fluently and would appreciate any help in getting a non-English job!
