I do try to play LLM like this, so when my scout recommends players I will only sign them if they are in the south, north etc depending on what team I am.

Funnily enough 08 has seen the introduction of something like this.
Unfortunately it's tied in with the player search screen.
When using player search it now only shows players in "your local area"
Unfortunately I don't know how accurate that is because of course I've never used it.
I know it's effective to some degree as we've had some complaints on GQ and in the bugs forum when the FM hoi poloi can't find a player on searching that they know exists.
If I recall correctly it even applies to that search box thingy which currently resides in the top right corner of the screen.
