Man LLM is tough, you think you might have a half decent team, some good loan signings and off we go, Win the first few and confidence is high. But then before I know it I am getting spanked every week!
I've turned it round with a 4-0 thrashing of Blyth, but I have to be pleased with my 4 or 5 loanees for that! Parent clubs rock
Anyway, the real reason for posting is this. I've a scout, well 2. And they can only scout England. Which is my home nation, but surely there are parts of Wales, Scotland and Ireland that are closer to H'gate than parts of England!
I've not seen this around anywhere, but surely SI should have built the scouting system a little more flexible? So that I can got X miles away or something rather than 415 miles to Lands End but not 120 miles to Gretna!
Has this inflexibility been raised with SI? Cos it has been mentioned in the Rules about what LLMs can do with Scouts, but I'd have thought mileage costs were more important to me than which country I can scout to!
I'm sure it would be possible to implement as a criteria, but it would cause some problems as well as solving them.
Say you were managing Dover, a large number of your scouted players would be French, which would be unrealistic. It could cause even more problems for a southern Spanish club. There are strict non-EU quotas there, so imagine how you'd feel if a large percentage of the players were Moroccan. Even more so if they were good.
Scouting by radius. And phyical geography. Its possible if you throw enough development money at it. It needs to get up the SI list of important things to do with how much it would cost vs how well they think scouting works already. Or summink like that
Sometimes we just have to accept that it's infeasible to put some features into the game. This would be a llmaa-only feature and with would be hard to implement due to some of the problems layed out above.
You can't just travel in and out of all countries either. There could be extra costs, extra paperwork etc. It may make sense between Wales and England, but probably not between Argentina and Brazil.

Really? I under stood that SI had the longitude and latitude of the clubs location in the database. It wouldn't be that hard to implement. </BLOCKQUOTE>
If you want the database crawling because of yet another addition to the data, so be it
