In the English leagues I would go by the real life ruling of not being a feeder club and use that as a guidline, but does anyone if this is legal in Italy (real life, and LLM)?

AFAIK it's perfectly legal in most/all the continental European leagues. Could be talking out of my bum, though.

I never had any doubt, rourke, where your posts were concerned.

How does the parent/feeder system work in Germany?

There is no parent/feeder system.
Clubs have to be absolutely independent. Investors are allowed but may not purchase more than 49% of a club. A club has to always keep control over itself.
Also, players may not be recalled from loans, and players may only go on loan during the official transfer windows. Also, a player may only play for two different clubs within a single season.

| Does this only apply to links within the DFB?
Could a Bundesliga club have a merchandising link with a team say in China?
The reason I ask is that the Bayern Munchen job is likely to come up after their recent relegation in my save & I'm tempted to end my career in Germany with either them or Dusseldorf.

| Would be a bloody good thing to have across the world. Can't stand the oligarchs and various investors in English clubs (most recently the atrociously corrupt and criminal 'square-head' in Shitty - won't surprise me if it's a money-cleaning scheme).
It's truly tragic what has happened to various English clubs. One of the worst, perhaps, is what happened to Wimbledon (damn those Norwegian ***** eh? ). I'm far from happy about the Glazer ***** either |

| Not that I'd know of. There are very loose links (partnerships) with foreign clubs and Bundesliga clubs, but that's not more than a direct phone line. (For example: VfL Wolfsburg & River Plate).
(no, this is not a joke )

| Well, with some clubs it seems to work. The Italian billionaire-led teams ruled football in the 90s (Agnelli/Berlusconi), the Spanish big teams have big presidents too that can (and do) pump money into their clubs, and after they did it in England too, there has been quite a lot of international success with English teams too.
In Germany, this "sponsorship" was never allowed, and every year, the teams fall further and further behind in terms of international competition. For this reason, it's hard to say, what's "better". It depends on the perspective.
