Default Setting up xbox 360 for HD.
I have tried setting up the 360 through HD but for some reason it wont do it. I have set it up how the Booklet says but I can not get a picture for some reason. I have got it so I get sound but no luck on a picture.

I just wonderd if anyboday could tell me how to set it up please.

Do you have an HD television?

Do you have the HD connector?

Is the switch on the video connection switched to "HD" mode?

Yeah we have done all that. We bought one not so long ago. A Pioneer one.

I have the HD connecter you get with the 360 and i have also switched it to HD mode.

Is the tv a HDTV or HD Ready?

As I think this could effect it.

That is the exact number. The model number is PDP-506PE. I would be garatefull if anyone could look it up and see how to do HD as i have tried but no luck

I have the exact same TV, what I did was to use a VGA-cable instead. You connect it to the reciever (front), and then choose PC on the controller. It makes for a perfect picture.

Cheers mate. So does that mean it is HD then if i do it that way?? As i can get the picture by going through the TV way.
