I was just playing around with Photoshop until I noticed the existence of the displace filter again, only this time I wanted to know more about it. It turns out that it's a quite amazing filter.

I downloaded the whole thing as a pdf file several weeks ago but I'm not having too much luck with it - I guess it needs to be written a bit simpler for me to understand. I think I have the concept but making it happen ???I don't know. How are you doing? Any tips you've discovered that are not covered in the tut (that might help me)?

Steve and I have fundamental difference in how we understand Displace, but we respect each other's work. Because of our different approaches on so many different things, we pick each other's brain from time to time.

Joy, you really should start a new thread about your problems with Displace. Be explicit as possible and maybe we can figure something out.
