They should "do a Tottenham" write this season off, hope they dont get relegated and focus on next year.
by "hope they dont get relegated" I mean hope they dont become the second best football sim and lose out to CM! which is probably as likely as Spurs getting relegated

If SI had to work at making everything perfect we'd only have FM's every few years, which is a very long wait for something that needs to be annual in order to be realistic and up too date.
To cut a long post short, the bugs aren't that bad when put into perspective, my players could be line-dancing on the pitch for all I care as long as matches and seasons progress normally, I still love 08, the game is too complex to get perfect so I don't thing SI should be too concerned with getting everything perfect (although if they can fix a few things.. great) because we'd never have 09 or any other games otherwise.
| Yeah nothing too strange happens. liverpool finishing 11th in 2008/2009 and having 3 pts from first 6 games in 2009/2010 is something which could happen in real life (fingers crossed).

If it meant FM 2010 was an almost or near perfect version of FM 2008 with a few added perks than I'd be very happy if they skipped releasing 09. But unfortunately I doubt they have the money to last that long without releasing a new FM game.

| Thank God not everyone thinks like you. You're a companys dream. Release a substandard product and know people will still throw cash at them no matter what.
SI have an oblagation to fix the current game so it's playable for everyone. Sweeping it under the carpet and expecting everyone to plough yet more cash into their next product is taking the customer loyalty thing a bit too far.
I agree, the game's playable to most as most stick to the English, French, Italian leagues, but what about those that wish to play in Greece, Germany (lowerleagues), Spanish, MLS or Tuirkish leagues?

| That's what SI has being doing for years. People are stupid and we show it every time we spend our money on a game that is playable until some months later (hopefully). Quote:

| That's what SI has being doing for years. Wake up. But they haven't been punished yet because, you guessed it, people are stupid and have come to accept at face value that their game will be unplayable for some months and have bugs in it that have been around for years. Quote:

| So, it is playable by choice of league. That is progress, eh?

| Playable maybe in the leagues you wish to play, but it's far from perfect in others. I suspect Turkish users will disagree with your statement too. Not everyone wants to play in England.
@Lyvean, I think we're singing from the same hymn sheet, but you're banging on like I'm saying the game's the dug's baws.

Had the English leagues been messed up, I suspect SI would have had a fix out by now.

| True, so true...
Rigby, sorry If I sounded weird. I agree with what you are saying, its just my frustration after all these years of shouting the same things, over and over again.
@Giblets. Sure, it is playable. How could we have missed us?? Thank you very much with that insightful, fanboy style comment. Close the topics people! The game is playable because it loads and saves and loads again. Hoorah!
