plus you can't compare cod patches because they are mainly related to multiplayer.

Why would they do that though ?

I'm looking at play.com and FM08 is currently sitting at the top of the PC game chart, with many other big titles under it. People are and still will buy the game each year. The majority of fans/users wont ever grace this forum.

At the end of the day Si/Sega can make money by releasing a new version each year. Can you really imagine them saying to sega "alright mr sega, we don't want to release FM this year because a few hundred people complained on the forum about it, i know that we would have sold hundreds of thousands anyway..." Even if they skipped a year I would be surprised if the sales were any higher.

I'm not bashing si but it is simple business. They arnt stupid, i'm sure they are fully aware of the problems this year and imo it is worse than recent years. The final patches for previous versions tended to solve most of the problems but when we get the next patch in February (come on it wont be before then!)I would be very surprised if they do sort all the issues out this year.

This is the least enjoyable FM for a long time for me, simply because of all the problems I have. The games are just not enjoyable to watch because they are so ridiculous.

I wont be buying FM09 unless it is significantly different with some proper new and useful features and existing issues, like the transfer system, are revamped.
Yes, that is why, next year, we must all vote with our wallets. We will see then if SI tries to release games in such a state or leave bugs that have around for years unfixed.

Less sales means they will get the message where it hurts. It's high time we've been treated like mature clients and not 15 year old fanboys. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Agreed.

I hope SI takes more pride in their creation than strive to earn the consumer dollar.

Good for you. You'll be in one of the worlds smallest and most isolated minorities, but each to their own.

:thup:Not exactly going to worry a company that sells tens of thousands worldwide tho....

2008 i hope. I certainly wont be buying 2009 if this version is left as shitty as it is.

Well I can't do much else other than complain on here can I ? I'm not trying to start a 1 man campaign or try and convince people not to buy it. Simply stating my stance, I hope that si do pull a blinder next year and i'll be off to buy it.

Heh, I'm being harsh, not your fault

I'd be elated if they did, I've almost pulled my hair out this last week. Been off ill as is, didn't need impotent strikers ruining my only relaxed pasttime.

Tactics are sussed out now, but it's taken a whole saturday of patience to get there.

I think the reason people are complaining on here is because they do care - and I certainly do.

I wouldn't even dream about going to complain about another game. I would just uninstall it and never play/buy it again.

I'm not having trouble winning, I've just done the treble with super Leeds But it still infuriates me at times. To my credit I haven't broken anything in a fit of rage this year If I was to add up the cost of things I have broken due to FM/CM induced rage it would probably come to more than the cost of all the games put together
