I'm notts County in my second season in League 1. took notts to promotion 3rd placed board was delighted yada yada yada
my reputation is continental(i like to stretch the truth)and the board is delighted they have a top manager...
I have no gripe about the following things, in fact i am delighted but these surely are serious(and laughable)bugs:
Lee Carsley to Notts County for free
Patrik berger to Notts county for free
Andrew Cole on Trial
Teddy Sheringham on Trial
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on trial
Stanislav Varga on Trial
Dwight Yorke on Trial
I had a bid accepted for Cafu. He did reject me though and went to a brazillian national league side(????)
the problem is, how on earth would they all come to me??? I know i'm a fantastic manager but seriously, NOTTS COUNTY???
I personally wouldn't blame this on a bug, surely most of these players are the wrong side of 35. Assuming they're out of contract, what is the next step for players like Sherringham and JFH after leaving average Championship sides? You're in League 1 and have a Continental reputation, it's not unrealistic for them to come to you. As for cafu, anyone can have a bid accepted for any player.
They're all old and only decent enough to play at your level of football, and you've put yourself on a par with Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi, et al. Sounds fine to me really.

He's put himself on a par with Fabio Capello and Marcelo Lippi just on his second season??????
I thought the manager reputation bug was fixed since FM07!!!!!

He has made himself a continental manager from the very beginning. I don't base this on anything he did with Notts County. Just the fact that Capello and Lippi are also continental. They might even be worldwide, but whatever.
Actually I would have to agree with everyone else. I always thought that when starting a game under "international footballer" that your reputation is automatically continental. It makes things a lot easier!

Why being a famous footballer make you a famous manager as well? Shouldn't you be a famous footballer that is a newbie and inexperienced manager?

Reputation, not talent.
If Alan Shearer became a manager tomorrow he would not become unknown.
But it doesn't mean he's any good.
But I'd take more notice of him if he wanted to sign me. I'd take less notice of Billy Dearden.

Why would you take more notice? Just because he is a famous player? That is stupid. Besides, he is not any good but the game considers him on par with Cappelo on reputation? Or does the game can distinguish between a manager reputation and a reputation of an ex-footballer turned manager?
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
Going back to your original post - the user we're talking about here has a reputation of "continental". It's as simple as that. This makes him a famous manager in my eyes. You've not really make any valid points here towards the topic.
