Currently (iirc) when the version of FM comes out in the middle of an international qualifying for a major tournament, the real-life league standings are taken into account and implemented in FM.
Could the same be made for the so-called 'summer' leagues in national club competitions, such as the Scandinavian leagues (Norway, Sweden, Finland)? I know it is possible to start the game in February-March when these leagues have not yet started, but when you want to play both a 'winter' and a 'summer' league, then one of them will be totally unrealistic compared to real-life.
I would definitly like to see that. If I was blurry in explaining what I mean, I can of course try again.

That said, how does it affect you? Example?
Shouldn't do, as the standings only need to be accurate until some point in June, for the summer league start dates. They don't need to be accurate to the point when the game is released.

They have players injuries implemented to start in june so a league table for seasons already underway isn't a huge ask would just need a little research.

The gap is about a month, so up to date remains impossible, up to a month before release, say 4-6 games per league then it's doable but just as unrealistic as the OP's issue.

Might be harder to implement than it looks at first sight.
Lots of the autumn-spring leagues have different starting dates so that would mean invoke quite a bunch of different tables for the spring-autumn leagues.

You start in a league that starts in March-April. The league tables elsewhere are updated to the time (a week or two before, whatever, to the point where it is realistically in the game what is happening IRL) where you've started your FM game.
You start in a league that starts in August, meaning the game begins in late June-early July. The leagues that started in March-April have their results from real life taken account and show in the league tables up to mid-June or whatever the time is that your game is starting at.
Hypothetically speaking, I start in England but also have Norway running. Now, Norway would have a messed up league table where a club that might be leading the charts IRL, is rock bottom in FM (not unrealistic interpretation). My England game starts in mid-June. The Norwegian league table is updated to let's say two weeks earlier with real life results and a league table.
Nothing hard in it considering the fact that it has been done before and is being done with the international qualifying fixtures when FM comes out in the middle of qualifying.

If this could be implemented, they should just have the results and the different match dates hardcoded, so the game would calculate the current standing on each particular start date. So if you start 12th June, the game could take all results until 11th June and calculate the correct table. If you then start 7th July the game would take all the results until 6th July and calculate a correct league table.
