Default Training

Hi.

I'm new to football manager and i'm actually getting on quite well with it. However, i feel like i could do more with the training aspect of the game, rather than just leaving it to my assistant manager.

does anyone have a good training schedule they could recommend?

Thanks

Pudney

I woulld just do my own. Only takes 10 mins. Make sure they've not over-training. High level, but not too high. Common sense prevails. Strikers don't need goalkeeping practise, etc. Create a training system for every position you use. GK, full-backs, centre-backs, etc.

Prepare for the illogical stuff. If you want your defenders or midfielders to be better at passing you have to train them in Attacking though...

Lol.

But I am not sure how it works. I wanted to make Marchisio a defensive midfielder. Hence I maxed out his defensive training. But I found all his attributes increase except marking and tackling after 1 season

Training is another thing that needs a major overhaul in the game. Don't sweat too much about it. Just stick to the general ones and you will be fine.

That should be working. On the other hand, maybe he's resisting to it, because he doesn't like defensive training. Check his training level bars to see if he actually trains harder on defense, as he was asked to do. (training levels are in the training overview screen of the player)
