I was just wondering why this is not available on the main website, i am sure many people who play the game look on the main website for the "latest downloads" as far as i can tell it is only available from the forums or mirrors...

Yeah, it's really poor to be honest.
People moan about how a lot of people don't know about a patch and therefore won't be able to benefit from them, but even the idea of Checking for Updates is broken. :thdn:

I am much happier with the patch, and just figure not everyone who likes searching through forums is going to find the patch...

There is a "check for update" on the first screen of the game. The problem is that it has been saying "Unknown Application" when I try it! Not sure if they have fixed that yet
