Default What made 4-2-4 usually score?

As we know all AI team will play 4-2-4 (or even 3-2-5) after 80th minutes if they're losing with 1 goal difference. And most of the time (more than 50%) this formation will lead to a goal in the last 10 minutes even if you switch to play ultra defend with 5 defenders or so. Some people would think this could happen since the AI team is fighting for death, and your team is losing their attention, but these are the most important reasons that I've figured out:

1. Opponent player still run like horse even if their condition is only 60%+ at that time of the match.
2. Opponent defenders always win in 1-on-1 challenges over my forwards & attacking midfielder so that they can keep launching counter attacks all the time.
3. Their defender's passing is as accurate as David Beckham at the peak of his career. All counter attack passes were go perfectly to the legs of their L/R forwards.
4. Their crossing & finishing is accurate like hell regardless to the level they are.

About my team, what made me usually conceded after the 80th minutes?
1. My full backs always let the opponent's L/R forwards move to behind to receive the passes even if I set them to ultra defend, man marking and never go forward.
2. My attacking players never want to move anymore after 80th minutes regardless to how professional and stamina they are.
3. All my players are likely to be beaten in 1-on-1 to anyone that lower than them in every stat.

I am not saying this thing happen all the time. Sometimes they may not be able to score, but in such cases they still have a lot of chances and shot on target, that's my luck not to be conceded.

Can anyone tell me how to defend again this Godlike 4-2-4 formation? The only way that I can think of is to lead by 2 or more goals in difference.

Another thing, how to play such formation like them?

Its odd how players do not follow instructions!

The most defensive is to set outfield players to CB instuctions/ or drop midfield to DM position with MC with farrow and 1 striker.

I don't normally change and hope to score, but Reading did play 424 for whole game which ended 0-0.

The AI do appear to have a fire up button which is missing from teamtalk, very noticeable in 2nd leg of a cup game.
