Default Trying to Make a Parchmenty Look

Hey. I'm attempting to create a guild website for a gaming group (or guild) from the game World of Warcraft. I was hoping to mimic their main website just a bit (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/) by using parchment-like textures like:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/share...lain/dark2.jpg

And especially:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/new-h...ontent-bot.jpg

Also the great looking borders to those parchment pieces:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/new-h...e_right-bg.jpg

So I've been experimenting but so far, nothing reasonably good- especially in the way of a chipped or torn looking edge. Any pointers? I'm not new to Photoshop. I've been toying with it for about 7 years, I just never took any classes on it or such. Basically what I've learned is through tutorials and I'm not the greatest (keep that in mind as to why I may not be getting a good result).

Hi AGVKrioni, has you said..' Parchmenty Look '

Instead of using the main site sources of world of war crafts.........try to search for textures in Free stock photo websites and also try to find some nice tutorials to give the look of Parchmenty and to write on it.
