I was so proud to see newcastle change from continental to WORLDWIDE i was cheering quietly then come 2016 before the transfer window opens it swithced back to continental why?? i won 4 premier league titles, 3 champions cup surely thats enuff to be permanent worldwide ;-( clubs like roma won only 1 or 2 titles and they have permanent worldwide status this is a blow.

If you read my other thread asking this same question, i mentioned worldclass stars (worldwide status from worldwide clubs) want to join my club and i am ranked 3rd in coefficiency so surely i should be worldwide??

in terms of talent i got excellent players, lets say better manu talent the club IRL has, so i dont think thats a problem

Maybe because Newcastle is a tiny city in a tiny country.
Rome, London, Madrid, Manchester, Paris. These would be worldwide cities.
I'm trying to think of "worldwide" clubs that aren't in a major city. Any suggestions welcomed.

Well I don't know for sure, but it's just a suggestion. UK is pretty small and there are at least 4 cities bigger than Newcastle. So it might be that geography is your downfall! But what do I know...
In real life, I suppose it would work out ok. But this isn't real, so FM probably takes these city statuses into account.

im hoping someone knows the correct answer to my problem, i just like being worldwide status it provides that extra coolness lol, beneficial for merchandising too.

im gunna sign another worldwide star and put my efforts to win another major trophy and see what happens

You go to Chile and ask them to name famous club teams. They will all be based in major cities. This would be a true indication of "Worldwide".

I think eventually, they would have to make you "worldwide", but not right now. If you won 20 champions league titles or something, then they would have no choice. But at the moment you could be just a flash in the pan.
