Default Newcastle want new manager?

I'm coming upto the end of the second season with NUFC. Won the league cup and finished 5th in first season. Currently 3rd with 6 games left and still in Eufa Cup in second season. The Board are only thinking of offering me a new contract and people are being linked with taking over (Lippi favourite but also Stuart Pearce linked!!!) Anyone had this in their Newcastle game? Did they get a new contract? I only ever play as the toon in England and I only have the English leagues playable.

Ive had that before, its just media speculation. Dont worry, they will offer you a new contract.

On another note, i would highly recomend that you have the spanish and itialian top divisions playable and perhaps lose the 1st and 2nd division in the english league. This allows europe to be more of a challenge later on and also gives you more better players in the game.

just be patient in my opinion
For example at the end of season one there is always people being linked to Sir Alex Ferguson's job as his contract is about to run out. However on the last day he always gets one.

Hope that helps
good luck

cheers lads, yeah was just getting a bit worried especially as I have just lost 5-2 away to Arsenal which has put a big dent in my title chances.
I should try a foreign league sometime, I just like knowing the squad of players so Newcastle always appeals as they're the team I support.
Anyone know how or if I can get Sunny to want to sign for Newcastle?

What i meant was that still play as newcastle but have more foreign leagues plabyable even if you have no intention of playing in them. Might make the game slower sometimes but worth it.

I know what you mean about playing as the team you support. Ive always started with newcastle in my first game of any fm in the series. Im so glad that i dont support one of the big four as it would never be a challenge.

As for sunny, dont have a clue never tried to buy him.

Yeah I bought him in last years one where he was pretty unknown, now he plays for Valencia and is a wonderkid. Defencive Midfielder absolute class. How you getting on with Newcastle this time round anyway mate? I'm a bit surprised at how well I'm doing, Owen has scored shedloads. He won European striker award even tho we weren't in Europe ha-ha.

Ive already played as newcastle (about 5 seasons) but wanted to play a completely new game with the new patch so started again with wolves.

Am thinking about starting again with them but this time i know who exactly to sell from the start. Owen and Martins are great on the game, too good infact, but i dont mind as you dont have to buy any new strikers straight away.

I bough Van der Vaart in my first season with them, he was a revelation as long as you play in right position. I think the game was made a little too easy for me as i was able to sell bad players for loads (managed to sell troisi for around 10m in 12 month installments).I think i won the champions league but could not win the league.

I think this time will give carroll a few chances in the first team, have you played him?

I played him a few times when he came back from loan and scored a couple. He's injured at the min, but is really a reserve player for the time being, stats look pretty good tho.
I sold nearly all my players to Sunderland haha Duff, Viduka and Smith all went there and that was my wage bill taken care of.
Signed Ashton, Australian AM (forget his name, Bresciano possibly?), a chilean DM, Hutton and a fair few young Brazilians (Guilherme and Breno being the best so far).

i got sunny for 6 and a half million in installments at the end of the first season, and started to ease him into the side in the second, hes going to be fantasticlike on 07.
the board accepted a 7.5 million bid for carroll even though i wasnt prepared to go for anything under 10. i was dissapointed with that but by scouting him now i realise hes not going to get that great.
ive just snapped up van der vart after he was out of favour at barca, hes looking good in pre season, where did you play him, what tactics etc?
martins is desperate to leave and has a 13.5 million get out clause although hes rated as 17.5 now and i wouldnt want less than 25 altho he only has 2 years left on his contract, any tips anyone!!!!
