How can I open PS files on my desktop without opening the PS application? I want to create a colors palette using colors from PS but I don't want PS to open every time that I click on the my "new" palette. HELP!!!!! [confused]

Default Re: Opening Files

You just need to sample colors from them? If you saved the image as a composite ( "maximize compatibility" ) then you should be able to use just about any modern image browsing program should be able to open the flattened version for viewing. If you want to access channel data or the CLUT that is embedded in the PSD... well... that's what Photoshop is for, it's a proprietary application format.
