Default Matte VS. Glossy Display

I need to purchase a notebook computer 15.4" and have noticed that the traditional matte screens are hard to find. The computer that I configured at Dell only has matte up to 1280x800. Does matte produce more accurate colors than the new glossy displays? Thanks [righton]

Screen surface has nothing to do with what colors are produced from the screen. Your particular eyes and the environment in which the computer is being used will have an effect on your perception of those colors, but in a dark room... the same TFT display behind a glossy face and with only the matte screen texture will look basically the same. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it... it's really personal preference at the end of the day... but do take into account the environment that you'll most likely be using the machine in.
