I have been trying to figure this one out for quite a while. I have a path and i want to be able to select specific points and align them certain ways so that everything is even and lined up nicely where i want it. I tried the Path Select tool, but it only selects the whole path, and the Direct Select tool doesn't have any alignment options. Am i missing something simple? I sure feel like I am.
I don't know that there is any way to do this in Photoshop. Illustrator has what are called "Smart Guides" that would sorta kinda allow you to do this... but it wouldn't be automated... you'd still have to move each point manually.
What are you trying to accomplish... maybe there is an easier way to do what you want.
If you plan to use vectors very often, then consider to buy a true vector program like Illustrator, Corel Draw or Xara X. Vectors in Photoshop, if you ever want to call it "vectors" , have severe limitations.
Not sure I understand what it is you`re looking for, but you can select individual points with the Pen tool. (Hold CRTL to make it the Direct Selection Tool) and move it with the arrow keys. In combination with the Guides, you should be able to align them any way you want...
Am I missing something ?
