Default photoshop cs how to fit moved image into new page?

Hello There,

I hope someone can help me. I selected an image that was saved in high resolution. I selected it and moved it into a pre-specified page (13x18cm) Now the image is far to big. How can I fit the image to the size of the page?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Welcome katipul

For best quality, resize before you move: Image / Image Size ...

Other option: after move, select in the menu Edit / Free Transform or press Ctrl+T (Command + T on the Mac).

Then use the option bar (see attachment) to adjust size. In case you use W and H (Width and Height), make sure you have the link symbol selected in that same option bar (between W and H) to keep the current aspect ratio. At one point you'll see the corner points of the image, which can be moved with your mouse to resize the image too, if you do that make sure you hold down the shift key, again to keep the current aspect ratio.

I knew I was forgetting something! Yes, Ctrl+0, I always seem to forget about that one.

Thanks docilebob. [righton]
