Default pasting transparent images

Hey there,

I have this recurring problem Iwould like to know how to fix.

Every time I paste a transparent image ( e.g. the LCBO logo http://www.lcbopinion.com/images/LCBO_logo.gif) it pastes weird into any application. When pasting it into photoshop, the colours get messed up. and instead of leaving transparent area, the transparent area of the photo turns black.

Here is a picture of what comes up when I paste this logo:

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that the color mode of the target image is set to RGB: Image/Mode/RGB Color.
