my photoshop just doesn't want to pick up my pen pressure for my graphic tablet!

ive set the brush dynamics and other dynamics to pen pressure but still i get nothing..

i really need help fast

oh and i use an aiptek hyper pen 12000u

I used to use that same tablet and had similar troubles. I believe I just reinstalled the drivers and started over. Oh, and make sure that your tablet is showing up in your device manager.

Yes, get new drivers from the manufacturer of the tablet, and you should be ok.
This happens as they sometimes create their drivers for a given version of Photoshop...

I do not remember such problems with Wacom Tablets. (That is, no need to wait for a new driver at each release of Photoshop)

hrmm.. still nothing..

ive installed the new drivers but i get the feeling i'm not doing it right.

What is their date of creation?

Have you contacted support at Adobe or Aiptek? Have you checked their knowledge base? Have you done what Tempus suggested, which is checking device manager to see whether the device is showing up. Check for other conflicts in device managers and check your event logs, that is if you use Windows XP (or do you use a Mac?).
Are you sure that you?re testing the tablet using a brush that makes use of pen pressure?
