Hi all, I've been working on a 2 layer photo doing a little clone work.? I've been working on this pic for about an hour and all of a sudden I can't get the clone to work.? If I use the lasso tool and select a portion of the photo I get an error message warning No pixels more than 50% are selected the selection edges will not be visible.
I even tried to deliberately erase or blur or smudge the photo but none of the tools will work on the photo no matter which layer I am in.
I'm stumped I don't know what suddenly changed, I'd appreciate your suggestions as? to what has gone haywire.

I get that error message when there is too much feathering of selection.

I've got it working again, I went back up the history actions and clicked partway up and started again and it worked. Still don't know what caused it unless it was PS baulking a bit.
I did check my feathering amount and it was set at zero.

As Fotobill stated, you had a feathered selection, or a selection with very faint opacity.
