I have a digital image that has MAJOR sunglare issues. Where should I begin?

Sadly you can't fix this problem. Check my attachment. What is marked with red are areas that are pure white or in other words have RGB values 255,255,255. Like with pure black (RGB 0,0,0) it's completely impossible to retrieve any information from these areas, often caused by limited dynamic range of some digital cameras. The only way to fix those areas is by painting or cloning pixels.

It's possible to correct those areas that are not pure white, but the result would look too artificial.

This is one of those few cases that Photoshop can't do any miracles, sorry.?
