I know Asian countries don't play football but why don't some of the players that play for Asian countries like Japan come over.
They might not be good enough for teams in the premiership but surely they are good enough for teams in the championship and below.
They would get better money and get to play more quality football.
Teams might not be interested in them but I think that they should take a look at some of these players.
English football a very good quality through out the leagues even though it might sound stupid but I think that it's true.
How many Asian players are there in the English leagues at the moment?
I spent some time living in Japan and watching J-League football. The players were technically very good but it sometimes seemed a bit like 20 blokes in skins and shirts chasing the ball. Tactically all over the place.
Some Japanese players have made the grade in other European countries - Nakata Hideotoshi, Ono Shinji etc etc. Nakamura is doing well in Scotland. I think the main thing is that J-League footballers are paid well enough in Japan - the original post seems to suggest quality = pay, if it did...
I agree, it would be good to see more Asian players in the Premier league, some are good enough (JS Park?) South Korea and Japan did well enough in the 2002 World Cup (home advantage not withstanding) didn't they?
