hey everyone - i came across this great place today while looking for photoshop stuff.

here is a sample of the sort of things i do with photoshop - the following image is 100% entirely drawn in ps CS and took me around 2 weeks to complete - it's a great dslr camera too =)

hope you like =)

Sweet job, Morphyre and welcome to PSG! 8)) 8)) 8))
It's been quiet around here lately, so it's good to see you!
As for the camera, it's pretty good. I think whats missing is the small detail. Highlights, shadows, minute textures, etc. Some of the bevels and shadow lines look to sharp and a little too clean. Besides that it pretty tight. And as a fellow illustrator I commend you on the work and time spent. Do you illustrate like this often? If so I'd like to see more of your work.
Later.

that's a very impressive piece of work - all the more so for being done entirely in Photoshop.
I would have thought a 3D programme if you hadn't said.
Did you just do the back of the camera?

thanks for the kind comments - i havn't done the rest of the camera yet but plan too as soon as possible as this was so much fun to do. i wan't to do more of this sort of work. i shall have a look through my collection of ps images and upload some more.

with this camera as i neared finishing it i had one of those typical things we artists experience of deciding exactly when it was actually finished - trying not to overdo the detailing but same time not wanting to underdo it

anyway thanks again and i look forward to coming back regularly

Great piece of work, man

It is, at least for trained eyes, possible to see that it isn't a real camera, but that is what I like about it.
Beautiful drawing. Salute!

not bad, but I have a little critique to offer, hope you don't mind, that's what we're here for you know. It's about the lighting. It seems to be coming from everywhere. try to keep it from one source or direction.
Here's an example of a cam I did a few years ago, as you can see I had some lighting issues as well, but not as extreme as yours.

hello, i appreciate the critique you have offered - the reason the lighting looks so extreme coming from several directions is because i have my pc on a desk in my living room and the room has windows behind me, to the side and from the front so having my camera positioned on the desk beside my pc meant it was a wash of light from pretty much everywhere. sometime i hope to set up a proper area where i can control the light source myself (mainly for my photography closeup work) thus giving a more subtle reality of light.

thanks, i appreciate any comments/critique/advice because it all helps in the learning process =)
