Sexual intercourse is essential for human survival, as well as being a form of entertainment and source of pleasure for many. So why is it considered taboo by many religions and conservatives, to the point where even talking about it is bad? A friend of mine whos Christian, tells me that its 'wrong' to talk about sex or to even think about sex, and its 'dirty' to do it for any purpose other than for reproduction.
The way I see it Sex isn't bad, nor should talking about it be. Apparently, having sex feels very good. So I don't see anything wrong about doing it. Of course, thinking about it excessively (ie 24/7) is bad and may harm your school/work routine or your social life, and sluts make me feel uncomfortable. You should never have sex with anyone else other than the one you truly love or a really close friend, in my opinion. Prostitutes are a big no no.
What do you guys think?
On a sidenote, how many people here have already had sex? Now be honest with us..
One word: Christianity. Most western civilizations are dominated by Christian beliefs and morals. I'm not putting down Christianity here so all you Christians don't jump down my throat. You can't deny the fact that Christianity had a huge influence on what people think about various things like sex.
I think they consider it bad because of the disease I.E Aids, Clamidia etc and these days everyone likes sex and have sex with more than 1 person so I think thats why they hate it so much.
